10 Months Old In Pictures

My baby is about to be 11 months old (Friday)!! I can hardly believe how fast 2009 has gone so far and I know that before I know it his 1st birthday will have come and gone! So, in order to remember this past month of his life, here are a BUNCH of pictures!

Here are 10 things that I want to remember about this month...

1.) You started saying "Dadadada"
2.) You got 2 more teeth
3.) You are pulling up and walking around the ottoman, and along the couch
4.) You are wearing big boy pajamas now
5.) You are eating more and more table food
6.) You L O V E to read
7.) You thrive on playing with other kids, no matter what age they are
8.) You learned how to hold your own bottle
9.) You are learning people by their picture in your picture book or on the refrigerator
10.) You learned how to wave and sign "more"!!!

How can you not start off with such a cute naked picture!!
Not sure if you can read it, but the little card sitting right by his bottom says "Hot Cross Buns", what a coincidence!
He's been doing this lately, where he turns over to the side. We've even caught him asleep in his crib like this! Silly boy!
Such a cute profile pic! He was staring at the ceiling fan
Oh how we love bath time, especially getting dried off!

Cute little crinkle nosed baby!!

Brusha Brusha Brusha!!

So cute staring at daddy!!
This is what I get to see every time I go in to get him up in the morning or from a nap! How can I resist?!?!?

Such a honey!!

Playing with Noah's remote controlled car, and wearing his super cool hat!
*wink wink*

Playing with his new "rattle". Sounds just like reindeer jingle bells!

Thanksgiving with the Garcia Family!

This year we spent Thanksgiving in Houston with the Garcias! We drove in Wednesday afternoon and the drive down went great! Caleb only slept 1 1/2 hours, but he was such a happy camper when he was awake.

Thursday was a pretty uneventful day since we weren't doing our Thanksgiving dinner until Friday because of family coming in town. We watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade (Smith family tradition) as well as the Cowboys play and win! We also napped and just hung out and caught up with everyone that was there. Caleb got some GREAT play time in with Cousin Corbin and Cousin Olivia. He zonked out for 2-4 hours for his morning naps each day we were there! He was just plum worn out from all the playing!

Friday Uncle David and his family drove in and we were ready to eat by 1pm! Omar & Vicki's friends also joined us, so we had a house full of family and friends. It was wonderful! We had turkey, dressing, gravy, homemade mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, salad, rolls, pumpkin pie, chocolate pecan pie and I'm sure I'm leaving something out! Needless to say we stuffed ourselves full of amazing food!

Saturday was a L-A-Z-Y day if I've ever had one! When Caleb went down for his nap, half of us decided to take a couple hour nap ourselves! Once we got up, again, we started packing up and headed to The Woodlands for a special dinner with our friends Adam and Laura! They are pregnant with twins and we were selling them our rocker and ottoman, knowing that they would need it way more than we do right now! We ate at one of my favorite Italian restaurants, Buca de Bepo. It's 100% family style and we love it!

After dinner we got back on the road and headed back to Dallas! Home Sweet Home! Overall, it was a great trip and extra special sharing it with more of the Garcia family than we usually have!

Here are a few pictures that I was able to catch, but I'm waiting on the really good ones from Omar & Vicki! once I get those, I'll do a follow up post!

Corbin absolutely LOVES his cousin Caleb! And Caleb was definitely taken by his bigger and older cousin! I look forward to watching them grow up together, if only we lived closer to them!

Corbin and Caleb in their new Cars chairs!
(These were the two things that I woke up at 4:30am to go and get

1st Week Of No Spend Month

Well, our 1st week of no spend month was pretty eventful! We spent more than I truly would like to mention, but to keep within the challenge and consistency, I will go ahead and share.

In the 1st week of No Spend Month we spent: $223 of our $350! YIKES!! I'm trying to stay positive after a week like this but I'm finding it to be pretty difficult!

About $100 of the $223 was spent on baby, including formula, fresh fruits & veggies for homemade food. The rest was spent on basic food supplies such as milk, lunchmeat, bread, etc. and because of our schedule, we have had to eat out, without choice (either eat out, or don't eat at all), so that ate up a chunk of the money as well.

We also have made an additional purchase...a car! Obviously we are not counting that in our "normal" budget, and we paid cash for it from our savings (thank the Lord we had savings!)

So, for the next three weeks, we have a total of $127 left to spend without going over our goal of $350. That comes out to about $42 per week. I'm confident that we can do this, but it will continue to take major meal planning on my part!

Any encouragement is welcome!!
