Caleb's 1st Valentine's Day at Pre-School

It's a little delayed, but oh well!  Even just thinking about writing this post has me tearing up.  My little baby boy, oh how life moves so quickly with you, especially since you started pre-school in the fall!  

So, this was Caleb's 1st Valentine's Day where he actually gave away and received Valentine's, and boy did he score!  He's got 17 kids in his class at school, and he got a Valentine from each one of them!  Thank you to Karla, for giving me your extras, what a time and money saver!  Along with some chocolate hearts, I took on the task of making crayon hearts, a project I found here on Pinterest.  Note:  this project is a TIME SUCKER!  It's a great finished project, but I must have spent at least 2 hours, de-papering, cutting, filling, baking and cooling these!  I must say though, I do love how they turned out, and they are super fun to color with!  Either way, it was a great 1st Valentine's Day for my big boy!

17 Months

Asher, you are growing like a weed!  No, really, you are!  You make life so much more fun, and you keep me on my toes!  I can't believe you are almost a toddler!

We've had some adventures over the past month, including a complete meltdown in the middle of Hobby Lobby, donuts with friends at Caleb's birthday party, watching you try to run and clap at the same time, which was roll on the floor, pee in your pants funny (no, I didn't get a video, my stinkin' phone is too slow!), LOTS of cuddle time with both mommy and daddy, family pics, more teething (does it really ever stop?!?), a weekend of just the boys while mommy was gone, and of course, a month rarely goes by without some type of sickness!  Oh, and let's not forget the eating issues!  This kid used to eat everything, and now, well, lets just say I have a running list of about a dozen things that he will consume, so sad!  Hoping this next month to try a few new things!

37 Months

Has it really already been one whole month since you turned three?!?  Caleb, you continue to amaze me each day!  You are fully enjoying being three, and will gladly tell anyone and everyone who asks how you are.  You are also starting to grasp the concept of other people ages and birthdays as well, SO CUTE! 

 It's been an adventure of a month as far as discipline.  You know what you want and when you want it, and you don't take "NO" from mommy or daddy very well.  But we're working on that!  You have Ephesians 6:1 memorized, which happens to be about obeying your parents.  It's been so great to see how you respond once reciting that verse, after being in timeout for disobeying us.  Thank you LORD for grace and mercy!  You are making really big strides in this area, and I am so proud of you honey!

You are also in the process of learning to share with Asher.  It takes a couple times of mommy reminding you, but then you have these precious moments, where you walk right up to him and say, "here you go, Asher" and you give him something you have been playing with.  MELTS MY HEART!!!

It has been a WONDERFUL start to 2012 and I am so excited to see how much you grow this year honey!  I love you so much!!  Here are just a few shots of you from this past month!  

You have an obsession with band-aids, so we got you your own box as one of your birthday presents!  Needless to say, you were in band-aid heaven!!

 

 You looked too cute not to take a picture, sitting there with your leg crossed and all!  Like a little man!
